The Challenging 2025 Growing Season
This year, the conditions for our 2025 growing season have been significantly challenging due to a persistent lack of natural rainfall.
To keep the crop healthy, our irrigation system has been working overtime, watering the bog multiple times per week. Because of this supplemental effort, we are currently anticipating a moderate crop. While our system is efficient, it simply can’t replicate the uniform, soaking rain provided by “mother nature.”
The severity of the drought was truly alarming in mid-August. For the first time since we renovated the bog in 2012, our perimeter ditches were completely dry for a two-week stretch. This lack of water in the ditches underscored just how challenging the weather has been.

Despite the hurdles, we are excited to get the harvest underway and look forward to sharing our 2025 crop with you!
