Here is a video of activity on October 2, 2023. The plans were to harvest Sept 25-30, 2023. Rain on 4 of those days thwarted that schedule, getting in just 2 days. Excessive rain totaling 6.1 inches on Sept 29-30 caused temporary flooding, causing a loss of about 2 tons of berries that floated into the ditches.
Fortunately, we have a very full crop in 2023, after a complete crop failure in 2022 due to a black-headed fireworm infestation. Harvest is now in going well, with hopes to complete before the rain coming Oct 6 & 7.
